2013 European Tour Celebrating The Dark Side Of The Moon Announced

The Australian Pink Floyd Show is proud to announce that their 2013 “Eclipsed By the Moon” European Tour will celebrate the iconic ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ album. This celebratory tour will mark the 40th anniversary of this truly epoch-defining classic album, which had its original release in March 1973. As well as playing tracks from the classic album, the band will also be performing other classic Pink Floyd tracks from many other albums with a performance that stretches over 2 hours.

The Pink Floyd classic features legendary songs, including ‘The Great Gig In The Sky’,  ‘Us And Them’ and the two singles taken from the album, ‘Money’ and ‘Time’.  The album has sold over 50 million copies worldwide, making it Floyd’s most successful album, and remained in the charts for 741 weeks from 1973 to 1988, longer than any other album in history.

“This album is rightly considered by many to be one of the greatest albums of all time, and performing 'The Dark Side Of The Moon' is much like performing modern classical orchestral music. We study every detail of the album as closely as possible to the original,” says Aussie Floyd singer and guitarist Steve Mac. “Our performances are about celebrating the history and pedigree of this incredible music,” adds Colin Wilson, bass player and singer.
