The Australian Pink Floyd :: The BEST Version Of Sorrow You Will EVER hear

The BEST Version Of Sorrow You Will EVER hear

It sounds identical to the version on P.U.L.S.E up till the 8:57 mark but then goes off in a different direction. This is the version transmitted on BBC 1 on New Years Eve 1994 and as much as the officially released version is superb this thing is just on a whole other level! shades

Sorry about the sound quality but it was sourced from a VHS tape that is now almost 17 years old

I love both versions too. If anything I slightly prefer the Pulse version.

If nothing else, it shows how Gilmour improvised some of his solos and didn't just play the same thing note for note every night.

Great memories

It would be interesting to know if this is actually the version that went *live* to the rest of the world on the 20th October 1994, and the UK got to see the edited version some time later when the shows had finished.
Dave G certainly did alter some things slightly - and they didn't play Dark Side in its entirety every night so some things were obviously different.
I was at the concert that got recorded / transmitted live, but I'll be damned if I can remember the recording that well, even though it's one of my favourite Floyd tracks! It certainly sounded the same as it did a couple of days earlier, but with so much else going on it's impossible to be certain.
