Went to the SECC glasgow last night 27th Feb 2012. Have to say the performance was stunning and if you are planning on going to any gigs what a suprise you are in for. The sound and lights are different class. I appreciate what the Aussie Floyd do and believe me every generation of floydians are catered for. As for the Band, what can i say guys applause were it is due,,big back slaps all round, thanks and look forward to next party.

Hi Floydianslip, glad you enjoyed the Glasgow gig - i'm kinda jealous, because Glasgow's my home town - and up until now, have always went to the Glasgow gigs, but now I'm in the Scottish Borders - we thought we would try the Edinburgh Playhouse, as that was only an hour's drive away - but it just wasn't the same - I think the venue was too small (in my opinion). So, next year it will deffo be Glasgow for me!! grin

Newcastle City Hall. 28/02
What a night!
I've seen this band since the Whitley Bay Dome back in 1999 and boy was this the best yet. Probably the best cross section of songs ever. Awesome lighting. I booked early and was in the front row of the balcony slightly left of centre, 1st time in the balcony but WOW I can reccomend it for an amazing show experience, being above the lazers was something else.
I'm still buzzing now!
Seeing them again in a fortnight at Derby, My Son's taking me.
The lads get better every year!

Re: latest shows

Saw them at Brighton last Tuesday and at Hammersmith Apollo on Saturday.
Both great shows (the London one had the edge, I felt, sound better). They really are a terrific band though I missed some of the songs they did on the last tour - I know they can't please everyone.

It was marvellous to hear Lorelei and Durga sing GGiTS, their voices are beautiful.

What is lovely is how well the band seem to get on, their enjoyment of eachother is infectious. The audience really feel as though they are a part of the show.

The "newbies", DF, AMcN and now Lorelei, are perfect, real assets to the Aussie line up - and Bonny is the greatest drummer ever! Don't change anything guys, you are on a winner (except maybe put some of last year's songs in again for the next tour - oh, and maybe the laser light show).

I'll be going to Cambridge on Sunday with some friends to see them for the last time this tour. Expecting the same if not better!

Re: latest shows

Cambridge on Sunday was great. The audience went wild! I think it was probably the best show I have seen this year.
Alex looked suitably mean and moody. I was quite impressed with him.
The instrumentals were spot on as always but it was the atmosphere which made it for me.

Where is everyone? I occasionally bump into a forum member at a gig but no-one seems to post much these days.

Hello,
I am very pleased that TAPFS return to Normandy, I can once again admire this company that is not only very good, but seems so modest. I hope this time to greet the band after the concert I went too fast in Caen.
See you soon
