A rather wonderful show, I thought. Great setlist, including interesting and surprising versions of Set the Controls and Astronomy Domine. Slightly disappointed not to get Echoes, mind. The rest was brilliant, despite the small technical glitch at the start of Keep Talking. The highlights for me were probably a stunning Us and Them and an amazing rendition of Great Gig by the three girls, which brought a tear to my eye. And I'd like to say that I think Alex's performamce must surely have been good enough to prove any previous critics wrong. (I must admit that I previously had my reservations, but no longer.)
The only real negative was not the fault of the band - the higher than usual number of blockheads in the audience who think it's cool to yell and whistle all the time, who barely shut up for the whole of the second half. They couldn't even shut up while the girls were singing Great Gig.
